Drew Hill is married to Natalie. They have three children: Honey, Hutch, and Macy Heart. Drew graduated from the University at North Carolina at Chapel Hill and received his masters of divinity from Denver Seminary in Colorado. He is a pastor in Greensboro, North Carolina, and also works with Young Life.

Whether you're a parent, a Young Life leader, a Student Venture leader, a youth pastor, a teacher, a coach, or any other position where you can minister to teenagers, you need to read this book. Drew Hill offers incredible insight into the minds and hearts of teenagers, who are constantly and increasingly plagued by thoughts and fears of insecurity, not measuring up, and rejection. From his many years of youth ministry, Drew offers a guidebook on how to speak into teenagers lives and meet them where they are, allowing the Gospel to be spoken into their lives in new, exciting, and live-changing ways. And not only will you learn how to be a better youth minister/parent, but you will also be reminded of many simple truths about the Lord and His love for you that we so often forget. I highly recommend this book.
I think I have cried with every chapter i’ve read so far of this book. Cried for me, for the brokenness in my own life, cried for the teens that I know and get to walk alongside, cried for the parents of the teens that I know and their own pain and hardship to know how to love their teens. Cried for the heart of our Heavenly Father that breaks for us as he longs for his children to return to him in their brokenness. This book is so good, practical, helpful, prayerful, honest and real. Helpful for the parent struggling to know how to love their teen, and helpful for the youth worker who longs to be encouraged to continue to come alongside of the teens that God has given them the privilege of walking with. I (Ryan) shared a room with Drew for the better part of 2 years while I was in high school. Daily got to see him walk the walk and talk the talk on loving the kids at my high school.The information shared in his book is completely authentic and from his experiences as he stated.In true Drew fashion he goes the extra mile in most things, and especially in connecting with kids and people in general. He has done this in writing this book.I am truly grateful to have gotten to know him and to remain friends to this day.P.S. If you ever meet him ask him about the eternal sideburn that was his haircut way back in the day.

This is a great book with very practical information about how to be intentional in your relationships with teenagers. As a Chick-fil-A Operator, I have dozens of teenagers from many different backgrounds and life experiences that need to be shown the love that Jesus has for them, but in a way they can relate to.
