If you like Roskam's " Airplane Flight Dynamics and Automatic Flight Controls - Part 1", but would like something with nicer appearance and a bit broader strokes, you will like this text. I'm using it for a course I'm teaching for undergrads and graduate students. It starts with force and moment equation dynamics and reference frames, decouples longitudinal and lateral-directional EOM, uses a DATCOM style approach to build up non-dimensional aero coefficients, includes thrust effects, has a nice overview of some performance, has a good chapter on trim, and includes dimensional EOM and some controls. On the negative side - it has lots of errors. It is a nice addition to the library of flight dynamics texts - but the number of errors is larger than one would like.

My massage therapist recommended this book to me. There's a lot of information in this book so it can be a little overwhelming for a regular person like me. This energy work really works. While it is seemingly written for people who are learning to become practitioners, it certainly can be used on yourself. That being said some applications can be a challenge if you have limited mobility, but my husband helps and it just works...like a miracle. I wish all Western medicine doctors had to take a class on this when they are getting their PhD's maybe we would have better healthcare.

In my opinion, anyone wanting to improve their health naturally, without going the "drugs, side effects, more drugs, etc" route should find this book very informative. I especially liked the chapter on muscle testing. This book shows so many different ways we can improve our health and thereby our lives, and not spend a fortune doing it. Some of the benefits are noticable immediately. To me, it's not just a book...it's a crash course in understanding your body, how it works, and especially the self-repair and healing it is capable of...and so much more.

This technology really works. I use the data in this book daily to keep myself and my friends free from pain and able to work in comfort. I work with horses and do lots of lifting, bending ,stretching, and general physical work. I discovered this technology when I went to an Applied Kinesiology trained chiropractor who helped me a lot. He unfortunately no longer practices so I started reading books about the subject. This book is the best I have found. I do recommend the spiral bound edition of this book over the paperback. I gave my spiral bound one to a friend and ordered a new one for myself. The paperback is fine but the other had a plastic cover and was more durable. I only use the physical handlings for working with the muscles and I am not a fan of the subjective questions that are included but those can be skipped over easily. I would recommend this book to anyone who thinks they have muscle pain or weakness and wants a natural way to address it.

Great book on original printing....great book on this printing!Like my friends new spiral bound version better....But it is hard to justify the difference between the two on price alone....However based on visual and tactile attributes the new spiral bound version is a gorgeous book!I may have to have both in my library!

Great book I used for self treatment to get immune system working and I feel good. I do al the meridians once a week for a tune up, or sooner if I need it. This can get the major systems in the body working. When one or more is not working it can lead to problems and chronic conditions. The treatment for any health problem is to treat all the meridians to get one's systems working and balanced. Awesome.The merchant is good, everything as promised!

Love this book and the method to help someone in pain. Would love to go to his school for the whole experience, but.... Gave this to my Bowen therapist and she know how to administer effectively. Opened some new levels for her therapy.

I'm not one who feels like a technical book has to be 500 pages to be of value. In fact the larger the book the more skeptical I am that it will do a good job of providing the information I'm looking for. I'm a software engineer who dabbled with Verilog/FPGA a decade ago, went on to other things, and is now returning to it and wanting a refresher. Back then I had to buy (and still own) large digital logic design textbooks to get the most basic practical information about designing for FPGA. This time around and by now I was hoping there would be some materials targeted towards people like me who just want the distilled fundamentals but a few grades above Verilog For Dummies. I found it in this book. A "concise introduction to Verilog by example" was music to my ears and in my opinion the book delivers just that. It's the straight dope without hand-holding with what I believe is a very good presentation. I think the text-diagram-example pacing is near perfect and I appreciate that the diagrams are also concise and meaningful unlike so many other mass media technical books where they are space filler. I also appreciate how the code examples directly reinforce the text and diagrams. In short, I think this is a well-crafted little book that was not more or less than what I was expecting and WELL worth the $20. It will have a permanent home on my shelf with my other favorite little books (the Effectives, the Makes, K&R C, Forrest Mims, etc).

This book has a tenth of the rigor of any textbook and the author assumes you understand the basics of circuits/electronics at a college freshman level.Like I said, take the title of the book literally and you will be pleased. This book is short enough to read in one sitting, is not extremely mentally strenous and yet it gives you enough information to have a reasonably intelligent conversation with someone who programs FPGAs for a living.Once you're done reading this book, you will want to go out and read a real 850-page textbook on FPGA design.

I've taken one semester of digital logic in college and have already used FPGAs to make projects, I wish I had this book when I first started the class. would have made verilog a lot easier to understand. even after the class this book has a lot of useful information and examples in it.

Great way to get started in Verilog. As a working engineer with some digital design background this book got me up and running in short order. Very well organized in introducing new concepts. Months later I still refer to it to debug code or utilize some new Verilog feature that I recall reading about. The examples also provide a nice variety of coding styles which helps immensely when viewing other engineers work.The only addition I would like to see are a few summary pages of syntax and operator precedence for later reference. But, you can't beat it for actually writing useful code for the first time.Regards,Mike

Perfect for me. 6 years ago I had a deep understanding of Verilog. Recently I received a contract that involves writing significant Verilog code. Turns out all the verilog details had evaporated from my mind. 3 hours of reading this compact introduction was enough to refresh me. Others have pretty well covered this book, but I appreciate it enough that I wanted to throw my 5 stars into the pot as well. I am trying to learn a bit about FPGA's in my limited spare time, and while I haven't finished this book yet, my impression is that this is probably the best introduction that I will find. It is concise and yet accessible, and slim rather than overwhelming in volume. Instead of making you walk through vendor-specific setup wizards that implement some CPU analog on your FPGA with the click of a button, this book begins with the most fundamental concepts, rationales, syntax rules, and code examples of FPGA programming in Verilog, building from there. Hindsight is always 20/20, and the author's express purpose was to utilize his learning experience to write the kind of introductory book that he wished he had had 20 years ago when he started out as a novice. I congratulate him to this approach.

I got this cookbook recently as a birthday present. This is a well written cookbook laden with traditional Filipino dishes coupled with beautiful and tempting food photos. The instructions are extremely point by point and precise. Clear detailed directions guiding you through each recipe while making you more familiar with the IP cooking terms as you go along. You don’t have to speculate on what to do while cooking in your pot. This cookbook truly inspires me to cook more Filipino dishes given the shortness of time involved in preparing the dishes.

I love how the author gives simple but powerful guidelines on how we need to respect ourselves no matter what.I just broke up with a boyfriend that was all that...handsome, tall, smart, successful, but he was not reciprocating all that I was giving (more than him) so thanks to the advice of this book, I pulled the plug. As Painful as it is, is also empowering because I and only myself decide the kind of relationship I want and I know I deserve unconditional love. Not making excuses because he is handsome and smart and phDoctor all that. He is not treating me right, his mediocre, half butt efforts are not enough...he got kicked to the curb. It hurts but it would hurt more staying with someone undeserving.Thanks to the author for opening my eyes.

Very Enlightening and Horribly Eye Opening at the same time!!I am a 50 year old, educated, successful woman that has been through Hell with men a majority of my life beginning in childhood having been sexually molested by 6 different men. My "adulthood" started with 2 physically and mentally abusive and manipulative relationships and the 3rd I drove away with my harsh and demeaning mentality I had towards men. At the age of 39, I swore off men due to my belief that although I am a very good judge of character with the people I do not have romantic feelings for, I obviously was a total failure at romantic relationships. For 11 years I was very happy, content, and totally single.Then I met a man (Or I thought was a man) that broke down the impenetrable walls that several before him had tried to destroy, but failed miserably! Then due to my insecurities and total shame for what I had already gone through with men I was played and abandoned. This left me more broken than I had been in my life! All of my defenses were crushed and I was left "naked and unarmed", and suffered a total mental breakdown.This book has helped me tremendously in knowing that I am not the only one that has gone through this. AND it made me realize that although there could be men out there that are worthy and will not intentionally set out to harm the broken, insecure, and vulnerable women such as myself! BUT it is up to ME to make sure I receive it without guilt or shame in feeling that I deserve a Good, Honest, Loving Man!!Thank you Mr. Bryans!!

Still, at my moderate age of 58 (chuckles), it provided me information that I had never before contemplated or realized. It is very informative and highly educational. I would recommend this book to ALL high school senior girls. It will give them incredible insight on how to select the men who will be a part of their lives.

All I can say is - wow. Thought the title may throw some people off - the contents are brutally honest. In my opinion - it's not about chasing/not chasing men but a thought process overhaul. Much of it I'd heard before & not sure WHY or how reading this really drove the points home - but it did. I started recommending it to SEVERAL people after Chapter 1.

Admittedly, tears of regret stream down my face as I’m battered about by truths I wish I’d known earlier. Then, more tears of compassion for myself folllowed. AND I’M ONLY ON CHAPTER 1 !!How could I have possibly known any better from a childhood of the sort I had? As a child, watching my step father take off his wedding ring before taking me inside a diner where - I learned much later in life - he and one of the very pretty waitresses had a ‘thing’.Couple that with my mom’s EXTREME co-dependent nature toward men. I clearly see now that led me toward constant picking of men who took advantage and tossed me into the “friends with benefits” category almost immediately. Ugh, ugh and ugh. But I let them.I was even married to a man who treated me like that!Enough!Now that I-have a guide shining a light on my mistakes and being given practical advice for what I can do to enforce my personal boundaries, I can move forward In a mo’ betta sort of manner.Girls, I highly recommend this tough love book now. Especially if you know you deserve a loving relationship with a high quality man. After years and years of building up my self esteem and healing my past, this is the one huge piece of the puzzle that’s been missing.Well, not anymore.

I thought I was doing everything right, turns out I was doing everything wrong. It’s such common sense but until you read it you’re unaware of it Bc we think like women, not men. I started applying these to my every day life and I’ve had this guy I’ve been trying to nab doing exactly what it says the book would! It’s genius. GENIUS!! I bought this and “HOW TO GET A MAN WITHOUT GETTING PLAYED” and read them cover to cover back to back. Easy read, quick info, easy to apply! Highly recommend.
